Explaining Crusted: a new Virtual Tasting this month!

Our ‘(Virtual) Conversations with Winemakers’ continues in July.  Thursday 30 July 7pm (BST) in English and 7h30pm in Portuguese, please mark your diaries for “Explaining Crusted”. Join winemakers Johnny Graham and Ricardo Pinto Nunes for a vertical tasting as they unearth the stories behind this enigmatic Port.


Churchill’s is one of the few Port Houses still producing a Crusted Port. It’s a style we love and value and we look forward to explaining to you why. Johnny and Ricardo have selected a vertical of Churchill’s Crusted Ports: Churchill’s Crusted Port 2000, 2007 and 2014, all shipped directly from our cellar to you.

The tasting will be live-streamed as usual on Churchill’s Instagram with live question and answer sessions with the winemakers. The wines are available to purchase online in advance – in a bundle with free shipping to most of Europe – so that you can participate in the tasting as if being transported to Churchill’s intimate tasting room in Porto. The bundle is designed especially for the tasting and to be enjoyed later, with two bottles of each vintage, one for the tasting and one to keep.

Participation in the tastings is open to all and free of charge. You are welcome to watch and learn or purchase the wines in advance to fully participate in the tasting, with free shipping from Churchill’s online shop. 🍷
