Churchill’s Douro Red Wine is intense in colour with a violet rim. On the nose, complex aromas of wild berries finishing with fresh resinous notes.
This wine pairs well with Red meat dishes as well as Pasta Dishes.
It has an excellent backbone and acidity on the palate, showing purity of fruit combined with elegance and a long structured finish.
Churchill’s red wine is produced from grapes grown on the Company’s vineyards in the Douro Region.
40% Touriga Nacional, 30% Touriga Franca and 30% Tinta Roriz.
About 30% of this wine is aged for 12 months in both new and old French oak casks; the remaining part is kept in stainless steel vats to maintain its fruity character combined with the oak complexity from the wines in casks.
