Quinta da Gricha Vintage Port 2007
A dark red cherry colour with violet shades. On the nose, a seductive combination of blueberries and wild mint.
On the palate, a rich balance of green tea notes with ripe juicy flavours finishing with great length and acidity.
Quinta da Gricha is located on the South bank of the river Douro between Pinhão and Tua with a North facing aspect. From the old vineyards (av. Age 50+ years) at Quinta da Gricha.
A field blend of natural Douro grape varieties such as Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Francisca, Touriga Nacional and Tinto Cão.
Vinification and Ageing
In granite lagares at Quinta da Gricha. The grapes were cold stored overnight at 10ºC before being crushed with stalks (100%) into the lagar. Maceration by foot treading.
Run off by gravity, racked and stored in Quinta da Gricha and at Churchill’s lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia before bottling. Aged for 2 years in stainless steel tanks and large oak vats before bottling.
Serve at room temperature (16º – 18ºC).
Decant this Port before serving.
